Daniel N. Casey, MAI, joined TIG's Austin team in 2011 as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions focusing on strategically growing TIG's portfolio of managed and marketed assets. He was most recently the president of Casco Realty Advisors, Inc., a real estate appraisal, consulting, and brokerage firm in Austin, Texas, which he formed in 1995. In addition to his appraisal & consulting services, Daniel has represented various high net-worth investors and institutional pension fund advisors in the acquisition of over $200 million of commercial, income-producing real estate including office, industrial, retail, and multifamily assets totaling over three million square feet throughout Texas.
From 1986 to 1995, Daniel was with Texas Real Estate Counselors, Inc., specializing in the valuation of complex income producing properties, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, hotels, and large, mixed-use developments. Prior to 1986, Daniel worked in the oil & gas industry as a petroleum landman negotiating right-of-ways for seismic exploration while also acquiring oil and gas leases for clients including Mobil, Exxon, and Union Oil of California.
Daniel is a licensed real estate broker, and licensed general real estate appraiser in the State of Texas. He also holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a candidate for Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He grew up in Houston and moved to Austin, Texas, in 1979 where he earned his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
